We believe that for children to learn and achieve effectively there needs to be a shared commitment and understanding between Home and School. Please read the following statements with your child.

Care for your child’s safety and emotional well-being
Encourage your child to achieve their full potential as a valued member of our school community
Provide a broad and balanced curriculum and meet the individual needs of your child
Encourage children to take care of themselves, others and their surroundings
Keep you informed about general school matters and about your child’s progress in particular
Contact you if we are concerned about persistent problems
Parent/carer | To help my child at school, I will do my best to:
See that my child goes to school regularly, on time and properly equipped
Make the school aware of any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s work or behaviour
Support the school’s policies and guidelines
Support my child with homework and other opportunities for home-learning and provide a suitable place and time for home study
Attend parents’ evenings and discussions about my child’s progress
Make sure that my child has a healthy diet and sufficient sleep
Ensure that if my child brings a mobile phone to school, I will support the mobile phone policy
Support the school dress code guidelines
Pupil | To help myself at school, I will do my best to:
Attend school regularly and on time
Bring the equipment I need to school
Take home all letters given out in class and give them to my parent/guardian
Follow the school dress code
Do all classwork and homework as well as I can
Tell an adult of anything that is worrying me
Be polite, helpful and caring to others
Take proper care of school property
Behave well and follow the school rules and motto
Make sure that if I bring a mobile phone to school, I will follow the school mobile phone policy
Our home-school agreement aims to identify the importance that the partnership between home and school has in supporting the progress of our young people.
