We believe that for children to learn and achieve effectively there needs to be a shared commitment and understanding between Home and School.  Please read the following statements with your child.

School | To help your child at school we will strive to:

• Care for your child’s safety and emotional well-being

• Encourage your child to achieve their full potential as a valued member of our school community

• Provide a broad and balanced curriculum and meet the individual needs of your child

• Encourage children to take care of themselves, others and their surroundings

• Keep you informed about general school matters and about your child’s progress in particular

• Contact you if we are concerned about persistent problems

Parent/carer | To help my child at school, I will do my best to:

• See that my child goes to school regularly, on time and properly equipped

• Make the school aware of any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s work or behaviour

• Support the school’s policies and guidelines

• Support my child with homework and other opportunities for home-learning and provide a suitable place and time for home study

• Attend parents’ evenings and discussions about my child’s progress

• Make sure that my child has a healthy diet and sufficient sleep

• Ensure that if my child brings a mobile phone to school, I will support the mobile phone policy

• Support the school dress code guidelines

Pupil | To help myself at school, I will do my best to:

• Attend school regularly and on time

• Bring the equipment I need to school

• Take home all letters given out in class and give them to my parent/guardian

• Follow the school dress code

• Do all classwork and homework as well as I can

• Tell an adult of anything that is worrying me

• Be polite, helpful and caring to others

• Take proper care of school property

• Behave well and follow the school rules and motto

• Make sure that if I bring a mobile phone to school, I will follow the school mobile phone policy

Our home-school agreement aims to identify the importance that the partnership between home and school has in supporting the progress of our young people.
