We have developed a curriculum which is broad in scope, relevant to our children, highly coherent and carefully sequenced. Alongside our work in the classroom, we organise a range of educational visits and enrichment opportunities which will provide our children with the cultural capital they will need to succeed in their education and in life beyond Seven Sisters Primary School.
Our curriculum has been created in order to support pupils to build their knowledge and to apply that knowledge as skills. Using the National Curriculum to underpin our curriculum, subjects are planned and sequenced so that new knowledge and skills build on what has been taught before and towards clearly defined end points.
Our curriculum is implemented through a whole-school strategic approach to the spiritual, cultural and moral development of pupils in order to equip them for life and to make the world a better place.
Equality
All aspects of our curriculum are accessible to all children, irrespective of their ethnic background, gender, disability, religious or linguistic background. We strive hard to meet the needs of those pupils with Special Educational Needs, those with disabilities, those who are more able , those with special gifts and talents and the children who are learning English as an additional language. Our aim is to provide a rich, challenging curriculum, which stretches all of our children, enabling them to be empowered lifelong learners.
